From the day ground was broken, we began recycling. At the completion of building, we had recycled approximately 96% of the construction waste. A portion of the store is also built from recycled materials. We are using energy efficient lighting and refrigeration methods as well as motion-sensors and timers in the preparation and storage areas to cut down on unnecessary power usage. We also supplement our irrigation system with rainwater collected from our roof in a large cistern located on the patio.

Our sustainable efforts in recycling also extend to store operations. Recycled-paper napkins are used in the refresh. Our soup containers, drink cups and 2go sandwich containers are compostable and all other food containers are recyclable. We encourage the use of reusable grocery bags and offer only paper sacks as an alternative.
